Exercise #7 script
Introduction:
Hello everyone I will talk
about an important thing, which is obesity.
The obesity is very dangerous
because it affects human life and cause many problems.
(First of all) what is
obesity?
The Obesity is a condition that is associated
with having an excess of body fat, defined by genetic and environmental factors
that are difficult to control when dieting. Also Obesity is classified as
having a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 30 or greater. BMI is a tool used to measure
obesity. Obesity increases your risk of developing related conditions such as
diabetes, hypertension and sleep apnea, to name a few. Many individuals are
affected by obesity and are not aware of it.
BMI is a measurement used to indicate
obesity and morbid obesity in adults. BMI is calculated by dividing a person’s
weight in kilograms by his or her height in meters squared. An adult with a BMI
of 30 or greater is considered obese.
From my view I think
the causes of overweight is lack of energy balance and other causes like an in
active lifestyle, for
example spend long time in front of TVs and computer with out moving.
What is the history of obesity?
Obesity has been a growing
health problem since infectious diseases and nutrient deficiencies began to
fade in the first half of the 20th century. In the past the
lifestyle was hard because they move more and they have food shortages. So
obesity starts from modern age another reason is the discovery of sugar was in
the beginning nineties and sugar is a major causes of obesity.
How people see obesity?
Some of Africans think that
obesity is give women beauty so they force young girls to eat more. Also some
other cultures think that obesity is a sign of good health.
How can you lose weight?
There are two ways to lose
weight the first one is to have healthy diet and doing exercise. The second one
go for surgery.
Personal experience:
From my experience to lose
weight you need to be
Patient because you have to
change the bad habit
and lifestyle.
UAE and obesity:
Obesity has become a major
problem in the UAE. Over 60% of Emirati nationals are overweight and this
figure is expected to rise. The number of overweight or obese adults and
children has continued to increase and is a trend that is not slowing down.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), it is predicted that there
will be over 2.3 billion overweight and 700 million obese individuals by 2015. Obesity affects not only the individual but also the country
that they live in too. The biggest effect is for the individual, as being
overweight or obese can lead to heart disease, diabetes and many other health issues.
Conclusion:
Finally about my opinion I
see obesity is a situation that human passes it where the weight becomes above
the normal limit.
